Qualifications

• Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing environment desirable.

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as scheduled.
• Assist with the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.

Scantec Recruitment is partnering with an FMCG Manufacturer in North Lanarkshire to find a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong Mechanical and Electrical skills. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs to maximize plant availability while maintaining high factory standards. You may also assist in projects, installation, and commissioning of equipment.

Hours / Shifts:

Monday to Friday (Early & late rotation)

Week 1 - 5.30am - 1.45pm Mon-Thurs, 5.30am - 12.30pm Friday

Week 2 - 1.15pm - 9.30pm Mon-Thurs, 12.15pm - 7.15pm Friday

Core Responsibilities:

• Resolve electrical and mechanical plant failures
• Follow safe working practices and report safety concerns
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as scheduled
• Perform line change-overs efficiently according to production plans
• Collaborate with the hygiene team for plant access during cleaning
• Complete engineering work requests promptly
• Assist with the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment
• Contribute to improvement projects on plant equipment
• Provide daily hand-over documentation between shifts

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Applicants should have electrical engineering qualifications (HND, HNC, or equivalent). Experience with 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations is preferred but not essential.

Experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment with strong analytical and root cause analysis skills is desirable.
