The role: Multi Skilled Engineer

A multi-skilled engineer is required to effectively manage and maintain building systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facilities they oversee. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, maintained, and meets current regulations.
  2. Ensure all PPE is in good condition and used appropriately.
  3. Familiarity with operational safety and related regulations, especially for systems such as pressure, water, and gas.
  4. Be aware of all relevant risk assessments and undertake dynamic risk assessments prior to work.
  5. Conduct daily building walks to identify faults, report and rectify within SLA, maintaining the building's condition.
  6. Diagnose and repair various building maintenance issues.
  7. Accurately record all work activities, reactive and corrective jobs.
  8. Review and update asset data on the CMMS using the mobile tool provided.
  9. Promote and uphold CBRE's core values at all times.
  10. Liaise with Helpdesk to ensure appropriate response to tasks.
  11. Support the CBRE team and BT Customer to ensure site compliance with health and safety legislation.
  12. Undertake Control of Works AP training and support identification of other APs and CPs.
  13. Participate in emergency call-out services as per the Out of Hours Rota.
  14. Perform other duties as directed by management to support service delivery.
  15. Produce reports as required for the Asset Operations Manager (AOM).
  16. Maintain stock levels of spares as needed.
Person Specification:
  • Technical training (NVQ3 or equivalent) in more than one discipline (AC, Plumbing, Mechanical, Gas, etc.).
  • City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in electrical discipline.
  • City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in facilities management.
  • Organized, able to prioritize and deliver under pressure in critical environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical delivery for client satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Customer-focused, considering the impact of actions on clients and team members.
