Scantec Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business at their flagship Cardiff site to assist in recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer on a continental 3on, 3off pattern.

This group is investing heavily in this site, providing a fantastic opportunity for structured career development and progression.

The Multi-skilled Engineer role is fast-paced and involves working as part of a cross-functional maintenance team. You will provide multi-skilled engineering support and first-line maintenance to the site, covering both mechanical and electrical aspects, including breakdowns, fault finding, and scheduled maintenance activities. Your goal will be to ensure that manufacturing equipment is well-maintained and available for use, with continuous monitoring and process improvements.

Shift pattern: 3on, 3off, Days and Nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am.

Ongoing overtime opportunities available.

The role:

As a Multi-skilled Engineer, you will perform planned maintenance and support breakdowns across all areas of the site, including service facilities. You will develop an understanding of how facilities impact plant operations, aiming to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime through quality engineering practices.

This role offers opportunities for learning and development, with active involvement in project developments.

Required Skills & Experience:

Candidates should have relevant engineering experience and hold appropriate qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical engineering. Manufacturing experience is preferred.
