Job description

Multi Skilled Engineer – Blow Moulding Department

Location: Severnside

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, covering days and nights between 7-7 (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Due to an internal move, we are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Blow Moulding site at Severnside. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, your purpose is to provide high-quality scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site. You will actively identify root causes and restore equipment quickly, while seeking cost-effective improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities as an Engineering Technician

• Ensure familiarity with all electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
• Apply basic automation skills for fault finding and remediation; possess strong electrical skills (HNC equivalent) and sound mechanical diagnosis and replacement skills.
• Diligently complete all maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, condition-based monitoring, continuous improvement, and corrective actions. Contribute to FMEA activities when required.
• Identify and implement improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
• HNC in Electrical preferred; Mechanical qualification with electrical competence is acceptable.
• Automation skills, including CI tools and techniques, are advantageous.
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing industry.
• ONC/HNC qualification.
• IOSH/Nebosh certification is desirable.
