Responsibilities

• Conduct light mechanical and electrical work within competence.

• Carry out plant-room checks and minor repairs.
• Fault-find and make-safe; assist with escape specialist works.
• Handle reactive call-outs, planned works, and project works.
• Support with minor carpentry and flooring tasks.
• Perform painting, decorating, and minor roofing works.

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team.

The main purpose of this Multi Skilled Engineer role is building-fabric repairs and maintenance across commercial premises, reactive and planned, keeping buildings safe, compliant, and presentable.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £18.40ph depending on experience plus enhanced overtime.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be 45 hour working week plus overtime when required.

Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include:

• light mechanical and electrical within competence
• Minor plumbing/heating — leaks, taps, TMVs, basic repairs
• Minor electrical — fitting/lamp changes, isolations (within qualification)
• Plant-room and general building checks, minor repairs, call-outs
• Fault-find and make-safe; escape specialist works; capture quote info
• Reactive call-outs, planned works, project works and survey/quote information
• Minor Carpentry/joinery skills — doors, frames, ironmongery, locks, closers, skirting, fixtures
• Flooring (vinyl/safety flooring, matting) – Not essential.
• Tiling, plastering, and patch repairs
• Painting, decorating, and making good
• Minor roofing/weatherproofing, guttering, sealant/mastic, brickwork pointing
