A leading Facilities Management firm is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer in Derby. You'll manage both planned and reactive maintenance across various M&E systems. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified Electrician experienced in commercial maintenance, with knowledge of air conditioning, generators, and fault-finding. This role offers a competitive salary plus benefits including 23 days holiday and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within commercial buildings.
• Experience with project delivery in a facilities environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine PPM on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Respond to reactive tasks and identify improvement opportunities.
• Supervise and manage sub-contractors.
• Diagnose and repair plant faults quickly.
• Maintain adequate spare parts and provide lists for remedial works.
• Complete paperwork for reactive and breakdown works accurately.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Build relationships with staff and clients.
• Ensure plant rooms are clean and secure.
• Meet Health & Safety requirements and KPIs.
• Update the Computer-Based Maintenance System.

We are working with a leading Facilities Management and Real Estate services company that is looking to hire a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance across all M&E systems on-site. The role will require strong knowledge of systems such as Air Conditioning, UPS, Generators, and LV systems, with the ability to fault find using graphical information and alarm data.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on mechanical and electrical plant in line with site schedules.
• Respond to reactive tasks, including fabric-related issues, while identifying improvement opportunities.
• Supervise and manage sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with permits and safe working practices.
• Diagnose and repair plant faults quickly to keep systems operational.
• Maintain adequate spare parts and provide lists/timescales for remedial works.
• Complete paperwork for reactive and breakdown works accurately and on time.
• Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Build strong working relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Ensure all plant rooms are kept clean, secure, and tidy.
• Deliver tasks in line with Health & Safety requirements, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance System updated (e.g., Astea / E-Logs).
