Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Caretaker/Site Technician to support our FM segment. Based at Tudor Grange Academy in Redditch and Tudor Grange Academy in Alcester, the role involves planned and reactive maintenance, room set-ups, porterage and basic site security.

A driving licence is required and the job runs 40 hours per week across 40 weeks per year. You will work as part of a multi-skilled team, ensuring health and safety standards, using the BMS system for monthly reports, and providing

Qualifications

• Experience in working at a high level in one or more trades.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to use own initiative.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily requests and resolve problems from Authority representatives, users, and BAM FM staff.
• Proactive and flexible approach to site maintenance issues and porterage duties.
• Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction based on speed of response and completion rates.
• Develop and manage maintenance programs.
• Provide details to enable purchasing of spares via the helpdesk.
• Ensure safe storage of spare parts, materials, tools and consumables.
• Ensure issues are reported and dealt with promptly.
• Provide technical support to others when requested.
• Adhere to health and safety standards for external contractors.
• Carry out risk and method statements.
• Daily room set-ups and porterage requests.
• Manage the BMS system and run monthly reports.
• Provide emergency access and out-of-hours cover for maintenance emergencies.
