Job summary

Insignis is seeking an experienced Carpenter-Multi to join the Southampton-area Property Team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, install windows/doors, service UPVC, locksmithing, fencing, and kitchen works while traveling between properties. A company van and fuel card are provided.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 (or 5+ years in carpentry) and a full driving licence with at least 2 years of experience to drive and take home the van.

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or have 5+ years of proven carpentry.
• Full driving licence with at least 2 years of experience to drive the company van.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry in properties.
• Install windows, doors, and door frames both internal and external.
• Service and install UPVC components and lock systems.
• Fit and repair fencing, posts, and panels.
• Assist with kitchen fitting and minor joinery tasks.

Job description

A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company are looking to Recruit an experienced Carpenter-Multi on a full time permanent basis to join their Property Team in the Southamptonarea. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road they will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

• As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demands.
• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.

What you'll need:

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
