Job summary

Building Recruitment Co Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to oversee three young people’s supported housing projects in Cardiff. The role involves hands-on leadership of a 2–3 person team and close collaboration with social services and housing colleagues to ensure high-quality, person-centred support.

The post requires experience in supported accommodation or related services, strong safeguarding knowledge, and a track record of managing staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in supported accommodation, housing, homelessness, children's/young people services or social care.
• Experience supervising or managing staff is ideal.
• Experience supporting young people with complex or multiple needs.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage incidents calmly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of three supported accommodation projects.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to Support Workers and night staff.
• Ensure young people receive safe, consistent and person-centred support.
• Oversee support planning, risk management, safeguarding and case management.
• Monitor the quality of support provided and ensure appropriate standards are maintained.
• Support staff through supervision, team meetings and day-to-day guidance.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns, incidents and challenging situations.
• Work closely with social services, housing teams and external agencies.
• Ensure records, reports and other documentation are completed to a high standard.
• Monitor accommodation condition and safety, promoting wellbeing and independence.
