Job summary

Dynamic Merchandise in Melton Mowbray is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to run the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. You will lead the team, ensure safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, and uphold productivity, accuracy and customer service.

You will oversee stock management, WHMS usage, process improvements, H&S compliance and budgeting, while training staff and coordinating with HR. This is a hands-on leadership role across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft 365.
• Expert knowledge and experience of Warehouse Management Systems (WHMS).
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and warehouse best practice.
• Experience across all aspects of logistics, including fulfilment, kitting and project work.
• Clean UK driving licence; multi-site role.
• Counterbalance and/or flexi forklift licences preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows and targets.
• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team, ensuring skills are up to date.
• Oversee stock management, Goods In/Out accuracy and space planning using WHMS.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks and maintain records.
• Manage operational budgets, forecasting and cost control.
• Lead quality assurance to meet service standards and KPIs.
• Recruit and develop permanent and agency staff with HR.
• Develop processes, training materials and guides; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain CRM documentation and communications records.
