Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, seeks a proactive SHEQ Manager to lead safety across multiple ambient distribution sites in the North Midlands and South Yorkshire. The role supports risk-based decision making, regulatory compliance, and development of safety training with site management teams.

Occasional nights away may be required. You will drive improvements, coordinate with external bodies, and ensure ISO-aligned practices across the business, fostering a proactive, safety-first

Qualifications

• Must have NEBOSH General Certificate; Diploma or working towards related courses is desirable.
• IOSH membership or similar professional recognition is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites within the North Midlands and South Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Drive a risk-based safety culture across multi-site distribution centres.
• Ensure compliance with H&S, BRC, Environmental Energy and other regulations; align with ISO standards.
• Lead safety training and mentoring for site teams; support audits and incident investigations.
