Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, seeks a SHEQ Manager to support multiple ambient distribution centres across the North Midlands and South Yorkshire. The role is flexible on base location and involves visiting sites, coaching managers, and driving a risk-based safety culture.

You will ensure compliance with H&S, environmental and regulatory standards, lead safety training, investigations and audits, and liaise with authorities to promote continual improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is required or in progress.
• Diploma or working towards in health and safety is desirable.
• Desirable: IOSH or equivalent professional membership.

Responsibilities

• Drive risk-based decision making across multi-site operations.
• Coach site management teams and oversee regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety training programmes and incident investigations.
• Conduct site audits and liaise with external bodies and auditors.
• Support ISO, HSE, and company policy alignment across sites.
