Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day facilities services for two school sites in North Ayrshire. The role includes managing budgets, coordinating lifecycle works, and ensuring compliance with contract and statutory obligations.

You will drive performance, safeguard health and safety, and build strong client relationships while delivering high‑quality services. A full driving licence and PVG clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Facilities Management or related discipline.
• Proven success in facilities or operational management.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, statutory obligations, utilities management, and lifecycle planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness with a results-driven approach.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and lead service delivery improvements.
• Flexible, adaptable and collaborative approach to work.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and people.
• PVG Check and Full Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support site teams to deliver Facilities Management services.
• Ensure compliance across two schools in North Ayrshire.
• Manage budgets to meet financial targets while maintaining service standards.
• Oversee planned maintenance, lifecycle works, and subcontractors.
• Promote Health & Safety compliance across sites.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and school leadership.
• Provide reports and monitor KPIs.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and service quality.
