Job summary

East Anglian Schools Trust is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our Estates team across multiple Woodbridge area schools. You’ll carry out general maintenance, repairs and site support to help keep buildings safe, welcoming and well maintained.

We value practical, hands-on problem solvers who can travel between sites, work independently and contribute to health and safety compliance. This is a full-time, permanent role with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, facilities or trade-based role.
• Good practical skills and confidence carrying out a range of repairs.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Flexibility to travel between schools within the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and site support activities.
• Helping to keep school buildings and grounds safe, clean and well presented.
• Supporting planned maintenance projects and contractor visits.
• Assisting with health and safety inspections and compliance checks.
• Responding to day‑to‑day issues and helping resolve maintenance problems quickly and effectively.
