Job summary

Bestway Healthcare is seeking an Area Operations Manager to lead 15–20 community pharmacies across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Gateshead and County Durham. You will develop high-performing teams, drive KPI performance, and ensure patient safety while delivering excellent care.

Qualifications

• Experience in field or multi-site management across pharmacy networks.
• Understanding of the pharmacy market and NHS contractual requirements is desirable.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with excellent communication and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Visit each pharmacy regularly and set SMART actions to drive performance.
• Lead and develop 15–20 pharmacy teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Drive budget adherence, KPI achievement and growth in prescriptions and services.
• Ensure compliance with NHS standards, GPhC requirements and risk management.
• Build strong relationships with local healthcare partners to enhance service delivery.
