Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a multi-school Trust in Merseyside on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent. You will lead recruitment, advise on policies, and manage employee relations across multiple sites.

The role requires travel between schools and a CIPD Level 5 qualification with 10+ years in HR. This is a varied, responsible position working closely with senior leaders and the Trust's HR team to provide professional support on employee

Qualifications

• Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• At least 10 years' experience in HR.
• Strong experience in employee relations and case management.
• Excellent knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment law.
• Experience managing recruitment processes.
• Strong experience with sickness and absence management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, selection and induction across the Trust.
• Provide HR advice to managers and staff.
• Handle employee relations and case management, including sensitive cases.
• Support absence and sickness management.
• Advise on policies, procedures and employment law.
• Support performance management and staff development.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and school management teams.
• Liaise with external HR providers when required.
• Support staff wellbeing and engagement.
• Ensure HR processes are professional and compliant with legislation.
