Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting an experienced HR Manager to join a multi-school Trust in Merseyside on a temporary basis, with potential for permanent integration.

The role involves varied HR responsibilities across recruitment, employee relations, absence management, policy guidance and staff development, with travel between schools. CIPD Level 5 and 10+ years HR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• At least 10 years' experience working within HR.
• Strong experience in employee relations and case management.
• Excellent knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment law.
• Experience managing recruitment processes.
• Strong experience dealing with sickness and absence management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage sensitive information confidentially.
• A professional, approachable and adaptable manner.
• A full driving licence and access to a car, as the role will involve travelling between different schools within the Trust.
• A school/education background is not essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Managing recruitment, selection and induction processes across the Trust.
• Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and staff.
• Managing employee relations and case management, including complex and sensitive cases.
• Supporting and advising on absence and sickness management.
• Providing guidance on employment policies, procedures and employment law.
• Supporting performance management and staff development.
• Managing and maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.
• Working closely with senior leaders and school management teams.
• Liaising with external HR providers and professional services where required.
• Supporting staff wellbeing and engagement.
• Ensuring HR processes are managed professionally, confidentially and in line with relevant legislation.
