Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an Operational Site Manager for Facilities to lead the patient environment and facilities services across three peripheral hospitals. You will manage ward housekeeping, porters, domestics, waste, linen, pest control, reception and patient catering with a team of supervisors and managers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of successful management of other managers within an operational service environment.
• Good problem solver.
• Great motivational skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team of diverse staff.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and plan activities to ensure efficiency.
• Strong analytical, IT and numeracy skills with ability to produce documents for different audiences.
• Familiar with the operational impact of cleaning and catering services within a health care setting.
• Recent experience managing a wide range of operational services.
• Able to work under significant pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-site facilities operations team across three peripheral hospitals.
• Oversee Ward Housekeepers, porters, domestics, waste, linen, pest control, reception and patient catering.
• Ensure services outside core hours are maintained and participate in the on-call rota.
• Lead on service improvements and ensure safety standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient experience and staff welfare.
