Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the team at North Middlesex University Hospital on a permanent basis. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will manage a designated facilities service, oversee subcontractors, and ensure service delivery aligns with contract specifications and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have hard FM experience, an electrical bias, and excellent management abilities,

Qualifications

• Experience in hard FM (hard facilities management).
• Electrical bias and strong management abilities.
• Proven background in facilities management.
• Good verbal, written and numeric skills; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver services to the highest standard and manage staff and customer service.
• Control contractual performance and record changes for commercial activity.
• Exercise financial and commercial controls within budgets to maximise profitability.
• Assist in budgets, business plans and departmental strategies.
• Lead HR processes including probation, performance and absence management.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure safety, compliance and timely work.
• Submit quotations, estimates and tenders for additional work where required.
