Zusammenfassung

Thomson Pettie Ltd, a Scottish manufacturing and engineering business, seeks an Assistant Financial Controller to lead the finance function across multiple sites. You will provide technical and commercial guidance to the leadership team and manage a hands-on finance team in a busy, operating environment.

The role involves cross-site partnership activities with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders, with progression into a Financial Controller role after a successful period in post.

Qualifikationen

• Strong management accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong commercial and analytical ability.
• The confidence to work closely with senior management and other areas of the business.
• Experience with Pegasus would be beneficial but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly management accounts across the Group.
• Produce management information and reports for senior management.
• Product costing and profitability analysis.
• Pricing and margin analysis.
• Bill of materials analysis (BOM).
• Lead and support the finance team.
• Bank reporting and credit control.
• Work with large data sets and improve reporting functionality.
• Provide cover for payroll and other finance functions when required.
• Manage the year-end audit process.
• Liaise with pensions and insurance providers.
• Support stock management activity including valuation.
• Identify and implement process improvements across finance and the business.
