Job summary

Teemz Recruit is seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to take ownership across a multi-site estate in the Newcastle area. You will drive standards, manage contractors and suppliers, and shape the future of the working environment.

You’ll have autonomy to make decisions, improve compliance and safety, and deliver energy efficiency initiatives. You will report on estate condition and project progress while collaborating with internal teams and external providers.

Qualifications

• Proven Facilities Management experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and facilities compliance.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
• Good cost control and supplier management.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively.
• Analytical, investigative and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for day-to-day condition, compliance, security and safety of all buildings.
• Manage facilities contractors and suppliers (cleaning, gardening, maintenance, minor works).
• Own contractor performance, scheduling, service levels and cost control.
• Develop and manage a robust planned preventative maintenance programme across all buildings.
• Contribute to building improvements and facilities projects with engineering teams.
• Manage leases, purchases and sales processes.
• Work with sustainability colleagues to deliver energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Provide facilities input into ongoing and future development projects.
• Maintain a facilities risk and compliance programme including statutory testing and insurance.
