Job summary

Leigh Academies Trust is seeking a Mobile Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities team. The role supports the Estates Team with care of academy premises, including maintenance, minor repairs, porterage and duties to assist the Facilities Manager with safety and security across busy sites.

Travel between Leigh Academy Tree Tops, Oaks, Molehill and Langley Park is required. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, reliable and hardworking, with DIY skills, basic IT knowledge and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to carry out basic DIY tasks.
• Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Estates/Facilities Manager to care for academy premises.
• Carry out general maintenance and minor refurbishment works as required.
• Provide porterage and travel between Leigh Academy sites to cover duties as needed.
• Work flexibly and cover colleagues' duties when required.
