Job summary

Atlas FM is seeking an Area Manager to lead multi-site cleaning operations across client sites in the UK. You will drive service delivery, manage budgets, and engage with clients to ensure high standards and contractual compliance.

A hands-on leader focused on performance, training, and staff development, with a strong emphasis on safety and data-driven decisions. The role requires management experience in facilities services, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in a service delivery environment.
• Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Health and safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
• IT literacy with reporting and workforce management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across multiple sites.
• Note: DBS check and right to work in the UK as part of the employment process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cleaning operations across multiple client sites.
• Own day-to-day operations and ensure service delivery within budget and contractual expectations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders; conduct performance reviews and site visits (planned and unannounced).
• Recruit, induct, train, and manage performance of teams; drive retention and development.
• Monitor budgets, wage spend, labour efficiency, materials and equipment usage.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, policies, audits, and data security across sites.
