Qualifications

Job description

The link between education and delivering the highest standards of care and best patient outcomes is indisputable. As the post holder, you will be a crucial member of the education and development team, working within the admin and clerical function, supporting the Clinical Education Team to deliver high-quality education across a range of learner groups. The post holder will contribute towards the quality, efficient administration services provided across the Trust in relation to education, working closely with various teams and services to ensure planning is appropriately structured and communicated. This role, among others, acts as the first line of contact for the Clinical Education Team via telephone or email and is detrimental to the day-to-day operations of the service. Please get in contact to arrange., The role sits within Clinical Education and works closely with Admin and Clerical functions across various education services in the Trust, including Medical and Workforce Education. The role supports administration elements of inward and outward-facing education delivery to a range of learner groups. Duties include; Room bookings and management Managing bookings onto course and register generation Arranging diaries Using conference or video calling software Timetable formation Information dissemination to faculty and learner groups Fielding queries related to education and signposting Use of the Trust learning management system to maintain up to date training records Aid in room preparation and resource requirements (printing, laminating, binding, photocopying) Note taking and agenda setting for meetings. The role is detrimental to the responsiveness of the service and will be one of the first points of contact for the service, ensuring that correspondence is appropriately escalated to relevant parties in a timely fashion to maintain an efficient service. The postholder is expected to work to standard operating practices for routine workloads/workstreams to ensure consistency of outcomes. There is scope for supporting audits and adhoc projects, contributing to development of the services provided alongside the wider team.   • Level 4 or above qualification (Undergraduate degree, Foundation degree, Cert/Dip HE, HNC/D, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent), Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas: Healthcare, People Development, Education / Training
  • Keyboard skills to RSA level 3 or equivalent
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)/equivalent qualification or experience, Office experience with knowledge of a full range of administrative tasks
  • Office experience within a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of and previous experience of leading specific work projects
  • Experience of developing data spread sheets for quality monitoring processes
  • Communication and negotiation at managerial levels within an organisation
  • Able to analyse complex information relating to data and present results to manager/team
  • Experience in the preparation of high quality documentation such as reports, meeting minutes and formal papers
  • General working skills and knowledge in the use of various IT systems and applications such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), with the ability to learn, understand and utilise appropriate software packages within the organisation
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals including learners, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • The ability to make judgements on content and timing of meetings/training activity, formulating and adjusting plans to accommodate service user need.
  • Able to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of the department on a daily basis
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands, ensuring that deadlines are met
  • The ability to suggest & demonstrate changes to own area of practice
  • Confident using initiative to solve problems and deliver work output independently, Previous experience of working in the NHS
  • Experience of Healthcare Education administration Medical/education terminology
  • Experience of undertaking/supporting TNA and data collection
  • Experience of educational contract management with HEIs, Workforce Partnership
