Job summary

Alliance Healthcare in Dorchester is recruiting a full-time Multi Drop Van Driver to ensure fast, accurate pharmaceutical deliveries to pharmacies and hospitals. 48 hours per week across Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri and Saturday mornings; salary £35,642.88. The role requires safe driving, vehicle checks, fault reporting, and strong customer service.

You will load orders, manage drop sheets, handle returns, and may assist with warehouse tasks while maintaining professional relations with customers.

Qualifications

• A full driving license relevant to the vehicle driven is required.
• Points on license may affect shortlisting decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care and service mindset.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe driving standard and comply with road rules and signs.
• Perform a daily vehicle safety check (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition, including fuel checks.
• Ensure orders on drop sheets are loaded onto the vehicle.
• Collect goods returned for credit and return them to the branch as directed.
• Address damages per HazChem procedures and maintain safety at all times.
• Support warehouse tasks and maintain good customer relations.
