Job summary

CV Consulting Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for the back shift at our growing food manufacturing site. The role focuses on keeping the plant running safely and efficiently, carrying out planned maintenance and reacting to breakdowns as needed.

You will join the engineering team in the Milton Keynes area, working Monday to Friday 4:00pm-1:00am, with no weekend work, and opportunities to develop practical skills from a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical fault finding.
• Basic understanding of electrical fault finding.
• Willingness to learn and develop engineering skills.
• Ability to work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the site.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out basic fault finding.
• Support production to minimise downtime.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults where possible.
• Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained to a good standard.
• Work safely and follow site procedures.

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing and ambitious food manufacturing business.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will play an important role in keeping the plant running safely and efficiently, carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.

The Role

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to develop their engineering skills.

This role could suit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, but it could also be an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their engineering career.

You may be a recently qualified apprentice, or someone who has progressed from a production operative role into engineering and is now looking for the next step in their career.

You will need a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical fault finding, a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently when required.
