Job summary

RG Setsquare is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a static site at Howdens facility in Raunds, Northamptonshire. The role covers reactive maintenance and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) across electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems to keep plant and building services compliant and available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure work complies with statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
• Work to SLAs and KPIs; liaise with site management and contractors.
• Maintain a safe working environment following HSE procedures.
• Support continuous improvement on site maintenance activities.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a static engineering team at the Howdens site in Raunds. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the facility, ensuring all plant, equipment, and building services remain operational and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory compliance requirements.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
• Work to strict service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
• Liaise with site management and contractors when required.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all HSE procedures.

Requirements

• Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Building Services Engineer, or Facilities Maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of both M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems and general fabric maintenance.
• Experience working within commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or FM environments.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety regulations.

Desirable

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• HVAC, Plumbing, or BMS experience.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
