Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a senior technician in Production, Paint Shop, reporting to the Team Leader. You will ensure seamless operations, follow PES, maintain high finish standards on our supercars, and escalate finish concerns to line management.

You will learn processes within your zone to cover absences and contribute to ambitious company goals. The role requires strict adherence to health and safety, 5S, and compliance with regulations, with flexibility to learn multiple processes for

Qualifications

• Knowledge of painting processes and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow detailed process documents relating to the painting of vehicles.
• Ensure that station operations on each vehicle are completed within takt and to a high standard.
• Escalate to leader any concerns affecting quality, cost or productivity.
• Maintain 5S within the work area.
• Maintain uniform/clothing standards as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

What to Expect

As a senior technician within production, specifically the paint shop, reporting to the Team Leader/Group Leader at McLaren Automotive, you will take on a role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation within one of our paint zonal areas, ensuring production continue a consistent paint application process to a high standard. Flexibility is key. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered too, the paint process (PES) is followed to ensure a smooth finish to our supercars and the desired standard is achieved through our built-in quality stations. Any concerns to the finish of the panels are quickly escalated to your line manager. You can learn all processes within your zone to ensure coverage of any absence. Your contributions will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious goals as a company.

What You'll Do

• Understand and follow detailed process documents relating to the painting of vehicles.
• Ensure that your station operations on each vehicle are completed within takt and to a high standard.
• Ability to escalate to your leader any concerns that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the panels being painted.
