Job summary

Wyre Forest Health Partnership is seeking an extended-scope physiotherapist to provide autonomous assessment and treatment of MSK conditions across five primary care sites. You will triage referrals, manage complex cases, and act as an interface between primary and secondary care, while providing clinical leadership and teaching.

The role requires current UK registration, willingness to train for joint injections, and eligibility for NHS pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Physiotherapist with enhanced skills for first-contact MSK practice
• Current UK professional registration
• Ability to carry out joint injections, or willingness to train to do so
• Experience in primary care is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous, highly specialised assessment and treatment of patients within your clinical specialty across five Partnership sites
• Act as the first point of contact for patients, triaging them to assessment routes, groups or one-to-one interventions
• Manage complex patients with a high level of clinical expertise, including onward referral
• Interface between primary care and onward referral routes, triaging referrals into the MSK pathway or directly to secondary care
• Provide clinical leadership, teaching and mentoring of practice staff
• Advise patients, carers, GPs, practice staff and other allied health professionals as a source of high-level expertise
• Work as a lone practitioner, accountable for all aspects of physiotherapy treatment and care delivered
• Deliver evidence-based care to CSP and NICE standards, promoting best practice and research in practice
