Job summary

Circle Integrated Care in Bedford seeks a Clinical Operational Lead for a 6‑month fixed term contract. The role covers both virtual and face‑to‑face MSK management with a senior clinical lead focus and operational accountability. 37.5 hours per week, flexible pattern.

The post requires registration with HCPC/NMC, strong MSK clinical skills and experience in service delivery and leadership within a healthcare setting. Salary up to £60,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with HCPC/NMC registration.
• Strong MSK clinical background with advanced assessment and decision-making.
• Experience delivering clinical services in healthcare settings.
• Operational leadership or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of patient pathways and RTT standards.
• Experience using clinical systems (SystmOne, EMIS, eRS).
• Ability to interpret service performance data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an advanced clinical caseload across virtual and face-to-face settings, providing expert assessment, diagnosis and management of complex MSK conditions.
• Act as a senior clinical decision-maker, supporting clinicians with complex patient management and pathway decisions.
• Support the day-to-day operational management of clinical services to ensure effective service delivery and achievement of operational objectives.
• Utilise BI dashboards and operational reporting tools to monitor service performance and identify trends.
• Act as a point of contact for PALS issues, complaints and patient concerns.
• Support service redesign, pathway development and transformation programmes to improve patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
