Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Clinical Scientist to join the MRI Physics and Non-Ionising Physics specialisms within the Radiological Sciences Group at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The role focuses on MRI physics support but also covers other non-ionising modalities; some travel to other hospitals may be required.

HCPC registration is preferred; applicants with MRI experience or in final training stages will be considered.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical scientists with MRI physics experience preferred.
• Candidates in final stages of training will be considered.
• Full training provided to support the role.

Responsibilities

• Support MRI physics work within the MRI Physics and Non-Ionising Physics specialisms.
• Provide safety checks and advice for UV phototherapy systems and clinical lasers.
• Travel to other Hospitals/Centres may be required; driving licence essential in the longer term.
• Encourage progress toward MR Safety Expert certification.
