Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust in Portsmouth invites applications for a Band 6 Radiographer to join the CT/MRI department at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent contract, with opportunities to work across CT and MRI using state-of-the-art equipment.

We seek motivated radiographers with HCPC registration, 2+ years post graduate experience (including MRI), and a commitment to professional development and patient care.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging is required.
• HCPC registration is essential.
• Post graduate experience is expected; MRI experience valued.
• Portfolio evidence of CPD should be provided.
• Previous NHS experience is advantageous.
• Extended clinical role such as IV cannulations is desirable.

Job Description

The CT/MRI department at Queen Alexandra Hospital is a fun, dynamic, vibrant and progressive department with state-of-the-art technology, located on the South coast of England in a lively city with deep historical roots.

We currently have vacancy for an enthusiastic, driven, and motivated Band 6 Radiographers, with a keen interest to specialise in CT and MRI scanning to join our team.

The department has the benefit of cutting-edge CT and MRI technology and provides staff with the exciting opportunity to work with the latest technology in a clinical setting. The department is equipped with 6 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners with all staff encouraged to rotate through both modalities. This post is to support the addition of a new MRI unit.

We are an innovative team, with a very friendly and caring atmosphere, currently operating a 12hr shift system over 7 days. There is also a requirement to contribute to the night shift and on-call rotas.
