Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust invites applications for a Band 7 Clinical Scientist in MRI Physics and Non-Ionising Physics at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The role covers MRI physics with scope in UV phototherapy and clinical lasers, with full training provided. Travel to other Hospitals/Centres is anticipated; driving licence is essential long term.
Flexible working options available. HCPC-registered scientists preferred; candidates in final training stages are welcome.
Qualifications
- BSc in Physics or Physical Science required.
- MSc in an IPEM approved medical physics related subject preferred.
- HCPC Registration via recognized route for Clinical Scientists in Medical Physics.
Responsabilités
- Participate in QA for complex clinical MRI scanners and routine testing.
- Undertake equipment evaluation, acceptance testing and commissioning.
- Conduct QA measurements for clinical UV (phototherapy) systems.
- Contribute to audits, risk assessments and safety procedures.
- Train and supervise STP trainees and pre-registration clinical scientists.
