CL Lifestyles Night Care and Support Somerset is seeking a personal assistant to support an active 5-year-old boy in Aberdare. The role covers home support and community activities, including swimming and park visits, with a total of 3 hours per week in term time and 6 hours during school holidays.

The child is preverbal and communicates mostly via keywords; the assistant must be patient, active, and capable of engaging in gentle, child-focused care in both home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Support at home and in the community for a preverbal 5-year-old boy with ASD/ADHD.
• Assist the child who communicates mainly through keywords.
• Be active and able to take the child swimming and to local parks.
• Hours: 3 hours per week on Sundays during term time and 6 hours during school holidays.

Job description

Personal assistant required to support an active 5-year-old boy in the Aberdare area. He has ASD and ADHD and is preverbal and communicates mainly through key words. He needs support at home and out in the community. PA must be active and able to go Swimming and visit local parks with him 3 hours per week on a Sunday school term and 6 hours school holidays. £15.30 per hour + mileage.
