I am a 4-year-old boy living in Mountain Ash with my mother and siblings.
I love bubbles, playing with water-especially running water-and I find automatic doors very calming. I am non-verbal, but it’s easy to tell when I am happy or sad. I also use hand-leading to communicate my needs.
I require constant stimulation and support to regulate my sensory and behavioural needs. I have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and currently awaiting a diagnosis for ADHD. I have no awareness of danger, including road safety and stranger danger. I am impulsive and always require a high level of supervision to reduce risk of physical harm.
I present behaviours associated with PICA, which means I may to try to place non-edible in my mouth, so close monitoring is very important.
The main purpose of the job is to support me to access community-based activities independent of my family. Your support will also provide my mother and siblings with some respite.
