Job Description

This role is onsite at Concord, NC, with reporting requirements to be onsite full-time.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and processing systems to support aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize innovative solutions tackling technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

Responsibilities

1. Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large data volumes from multiple sources.
2. Collaborate with data engineers and teams to integrate data across platforms and systems.
3. Ensure data integrity and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
4. Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
5. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
6. Write clean, maintainable code adhering to best practices.
7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks
• Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication skills

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in relevant fields
• Experience in motorsports industry
• Knowledge of data governance, HPC architecture, instrumentation systems
• Experience with live streaming data pipelines and aerodynamic testing
