Job Description:

This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We seek a highly skilled Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be developing complex data pipelines and processing systems to enhance aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will be key in designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  1. Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large data volumes from multiple sources.
  2. Integrate data from various platforms and systems, including on-premises and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, and third-party vendors.
  3. Maintain data integrity, quality, and consistency through automated validation and monitoring.
  4. Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  6. Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
  7. Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, HPC architecture, instrumentation, and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with live streaming data pipelines and aerodynamic testing.
