Job Description:

This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis. GM Motorsports supports racing in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We seek a skilled CAD Engineer to design and develop racecar components, from concept to production, including parts design, finite-element analysis, and participation in design reviews. Support may be provided to end users post-delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design parts using Catia and analytical skills
• Collaborate with race program teams with a client-focused approach
• Share knowledge and learn in a dynamic environment

Qualifications (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 3+ years experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerospace industries
• Proficiency in CAD (CATIA or 3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus)
• Knowledge of materials, rapid prototyping, solid and surface modeling
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Passion for motorsports and understanding of vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in relevant fields
