Job summary

M-Sport UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the Design team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters. You will design high-performance electrical systems and wiring harnesses for world-class motorsport programmes, from concept through to manufacture and testing.

You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, collaborating with mechanical design, workshop, purchasing, quality and events teams, applying CATIA V5 where possible, and driving continuous

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Motorsport, Electrical, Electronic or related discipline.
• Experience designing electrical systems, circuits or wiring harnesses in high-performance engineering.
• Strong CAD skills for electrical schematics and documentation.
• Understanding of electrical assembly, wiring harness manufacture, connectors and processes.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuits, sensors, actuators, and vehicle electrical architecture.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, circuits and components using 3D CAD software.
• Produce and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, BOMs and documentation to standards.
• Generate innovative electrical concepts and evaluate design options.
• Perform electrical calculations and validate system performance and reliability.
• Support prototype manufacture, testing and development programmes; implement design improvements.
• Manage electrical design changes through product lifecycle and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, workshop, purchasing, quality and events teams to deliver projects on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve electrical system performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
