JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Motor Vehicle Mechanical Technician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing manufacturing/plant equipment, motor vehicles, or HGV/heavy vehicles.

As a Motor Vehicle Mechanical Technician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the company's success by offering your mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair equipment such as towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and various specialized vehicles.

We are looking for someone mechanically skilled and a good problem solver to effectively maintain onsite equipment and vehicles.

DUTIES

Your responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing on-site vehicles within the airport ground service equipment industry, including:
• Towing tractors
• Aircraft tugs
• A range of specialized and unique vehicles
• Performing repairs and maintenance from the workshop and airside

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical engineering background, including motor vehicle, HGV, or plant equipment
• Experience working with small or heavy plant equipment is desirable
• Ability to obtain an airside pass, which requires a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
• City and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (essential)
• Welding experience is highly desirable
