Job summary

Rotherwood Education in the Blackburn area is seeking an experienced Training & Development Coach to deliver and assess the Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship within our Construction and Motor Vehicle team. The role involves workplace coaching, assessment and progress reviews across Lancashire.

This short-term, full-time temporary position starts 12 October 2026 for about four weeks, with travel between employer premises and classes, and a strong emphasis on safeguarding and accurate

Qualifications

• Experience delivering the Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship standard.
• Experience coaching and assessing apprentices in the workplace.
• A recognised assessor qualification such as A1, D32/D33, TAQA or CAVA.
• A recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above, such as Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, Cert Ed or PGCE.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across Lancashire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality theory and practical workshop sessions for Level 2 Autocare Technician apprentices.
• Deliver and assess against the requirements of the Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship standard.
• Deliver practical workshop sessions safely and in line with health and safety requirements.
• Assess apprentices' knowledge, skills and behaviours and provide clear, developmental feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of teaching, assessment, progress and off-the-job training.
• Undertake workplace visits to coach and assess apprentices across Lancashire.
• Complete tripartite progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
• Liaise with employers regarding apprentice progress and address any emerging concerns.
