We’re rebooting under a new management team and a new vision - to lead the world’s imagination and dreams across the analogue/digital divide. For generations, those imaginations and dreams have been trapped on paper in an analogue world with pen and ink. But now, with our digital pens whatever you write or draw in ink on paper is instantly brought to digital life on your phone. It’s kind of like magic! We’re excited about the road ahead and we have bold ambitions. It starts by creating a new brand for our products and shaping a new brand story. In the world of imagination, the creative opportunities are endless, and we’re seeking a talented and creative Motion Designer / Art Director to join our dynamic team and help us build this new brand. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing engaging motion graphics and visual content that elevate our brand’s storytelling across multiple channels and touchpoints. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Director, you will collaborate closely with various internal and external teams, to build our new brand story and bring innovative ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Motion Design: Create high-quality motion graphics for various platforms, including e-mails, social media, websites, internal comms and external presentations.
2. Art Direction: Lead the visual direction of projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and aesthetic vision.
3. Concept Development: Brainstorm and develop creative concepts for video and multimedia projects, collaborating with the marketing team and external partners.
4. Editing: Edit video content, incorporating animations and visual effects to enhance the storytelling process.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
6. Feedback Integration: Revise designs based on feedback from clients and stakeholders, ensuring final products meet expectations.
7. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance the creative output.

Qualifications:

1. 7-10 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Motion Designer or Art Director, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
3. Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Photoshop).
4. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

1. Brand launch familiarity and understanding.
2. Knowledge of UI/UX principles.
3. Familiarity with video production processes.
