Halliwell Jones (Wilmslow) Ltd is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our Wilmslow service team. You will conduct MOT inspections, ensure compliance with DVSA guidelines, and help keep vehicles roadworthy.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and MOT Class 4 credentials are required.

Your Responsibilities

• To conduct MOT inspections and issue MOT documentation in line with DVSA guidelines
• To ensure security of MOT certification process and implement the MOT scheme in compliance with DVSA and company requirements.
• To repair and report any anomalies on vehicles.

What we're looking for

• MOT Class 4 Tester credentials.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent C&G or BTEC qualification).
• Comprehensive technical knowledge, including a thorough understanding of the MOT Testing Guide and all relevant Special Notices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work within given timescales and manage a varied workload.
• Strong administrative and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn, develop technical knowledge and stay up to date with complex technical and product information.
• Ability to deal confidently and professionally with customers when required.
• Full valid UK driving licence
