Job summary

Lookers Limited, trading as Tonbridge Mercedes-Benz, is seeking an MOT Tester/Technician to join the workshop in Tonbridge. You will work with a skilled team to perform health checks, services and repairs on a range of vehicles.

The role offers a salary of £34,000–£37,000 basic, with an OTE of £41,000 and bonuses. Hours are 40 per week, with Saturday rota, and opportunities for progression and accredited training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent motor industry experience.
• MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence.
• Self-motivated with ability to support a team and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for checks and servicing.
• Fit additional customer-requested accessories.
• Perform vehicle health checks and report further work if needed.
• Check lights, tyre pressures, mechanical and electrical components.
• Complete minor repairs on vehicles.
• Conduct services and MOTs per guidelines and customer requests.
• Take vehicles on road tests to verify faults are fixed.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
