Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. You’ll be pivotal in conducting vehicle health checks, services, and repairs. You'll learn alongside experienced technicians and have access to excellent career progression and training, including manufacturer-accredited schemes. Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mechanic is required.
• Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn.
• Full UK driving license required.
• Completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification needed.
• MOT license is preferable.
• Experience with Mercedes brand advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
• Conduct vehicle services as per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Perform additional repairs once authorized by the customer.
• Complete warranty repairs as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Take customers' vehicles out on road tests.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, working 1 in 12 Saturdays on a rota basis

Salary: £34,000 basic with a generous OTE!

Lookers Mercedes Benz of Stoke is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our fantastic workshop. While working alongside our other 12 experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
• Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
• Warranty repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete
• Taking the customers vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a mechanic. You'll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards. You will require a full UK driving licence and completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Having previous experience of working with Mercedes brand would be advantageous, although not essential as full brand accreditation training can be provided. A MOT licence would also be preferable.
