Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy Nottingham Fast Fit Auto Centre. You will conduct Class 4 MOT tests alongside servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to DVSA standards.

The role offers a base salary of £40,000 per year plus an uncapped bonus scheme (OTE £46,000+), with a 5-day week including Saturdays, and opportunities for development in a modern workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid DVSA MOT License (Class 4 active tester status is essential).
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience/qualification).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• A strong work ethic with good attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of customer vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle safety checks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres, and minor engine work.
• Maintain accurate digital job cards and communicate clearly with the Service Manager.
• Ensure the workshop remains clean, safe, and compliant with H&S regulations.

Job Title: MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

Location:Nottingham (NG2 3GZ)

Salary: £40,000 base salary + bonus scheme (OTE £46,000+)

Working Hours: 8:30am 5:30pm (MonFri) | 8:00am 5:00pm (Sat)

Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday (includes a fixed day off during the week)

They operate modern, clean, and well-equipped workshops designed to make life easier for both our drivers and our technicians. They are currently looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their busy Nottingham team.

The Role

As an MOT Tester and Technician, you will be key to keeping our local customers safe and on the road. Youll handle a balance of class 4 MOT testing alongside routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
