Contek Recruitment Solutions are partnering with a Fast Fit Auto Centre in Erith to recruit an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician. You’ll work in a modern, clean workshop delivering clear, friendly service to customers.

Role covers MOT testing and servicing, diagnostics and repairs. Base salary £40,000 with bonus scheme (£6k target). Five-day week with Saturdays, pension, training and progression opportunities; a busy, customer‑focussed environment.

Qualifications

• DVSA Class 4 MOT license active.
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of customer vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle safety checks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres, and minor engine work.
• Maintain accurate digital job cards and communicate clearly with the Service Manager.
• Ensure the workshop remains clean, safe, and compliant with H&S regulations.

Job Title: MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

Location: Erith (DA8 2AH)

Salary: £40,000 base salary + bonus scheme (OTE £46,000+)

Working Hours: 8:30am 5:30pm (MonFri) | 8:00am 5:00pm (Sat)

Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday (includes a fixed day off during the week)

Contek Recruitment Solutions are collaborating with our client who are a Fast Fit Auto Centre and who pride Themselves on delivering clear, friendly, and honest service to our customer base. They operate modern, clean, and well-equipped workshops designed to make life easier for both our drivers and our technicians. They are currently looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their busy Erith team.

The Role

As an MOT Tester and Technician, you will be key to keeping our local customers safe and on the road. Youll handle a balance of class 4 MOT testing alongside routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of customer vehicles.

What Were Looking For

• Valid DVSA MOT License (Class 4 active tester status is essential).
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience/qualification).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• A strong work ethic with good attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a busy team.
