Job summary

Webrecruit is assisting a client in Crawley to recruit an MOT Tester. You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards, enter results into the DVSA system, and advise customers on the process.

The role requires an excellent communicator with proven experience in a busy automotive retail environment, and the ability to work both in a team and independently to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.
• Good communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and input details into the DVSA computer system.
• Fit products specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out ancillary services.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety in all tasks.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
