Job summary

BP Rolls Group is seeking an experienced MOT Tester for its busy Service Centre in Andover, Hampshire. The role requires fully qualified MOT testing with current DVSA authorisation and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards, while supporting the workshop team with servicing, inspections and diagnostic tasks as needed. A professional approach and strong attention to safety are essential.

We are looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our busy Service Centre in Andover, Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MOT Tester who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail and is happy to play an active role in supporting the wider workshop and technician team.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests to the required DVSA standards, ensuring vehicles are inspected accurately, efficiently and professionally.

Alongside your MOT testing responsibilities, you will work closely with and support the technician team with servicing, maintenance, inspections and general workshop duties when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and testing standards.
• Completing accurate MOT documentation and maintaining appropriate records.
• Identifying and reporting vehicle defects and safety issues.
• Supporting the technician team with servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs where required.
• Assisting technicians with workshop tasks and helping to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and diagnostic checks as required.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer and company requirements.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Providing a professional service to customers and colleagues.
• Keeping up to date with changes to MOT legislation, testing procedures and industry standards.
• Working positively as part of a professional and supportive Service Centre team.

We are looking for an experienced MOT Tester who can demonstrate:

• Full MOT Tester qualification and current DVSA authorisation.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Vehicle technician to level 3 standard.
• Strong knowledge of MOT testing procedures and relevant legislation.
• Good mechanical knowledge and practical workshop experience.
• The ability and willingness to support the wider technician team when required.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to vehicle safety.
• The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved across the workshop.
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
