Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for a skilled MOT Tester to join a busy aftersales team at a reputable main dealer in Southampton. The role offers a competitive salary up to £42,000 per year, with uncapped bonus potential and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service length.

You will conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards, work with the service team on additional repairs, and stay current with EV/hybrid technologies.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT licence is required.
• Strong team player with excellent communication.
• Willingness to expand knowledge in electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
• Experience in a main dealer or quality workshop advantageous.
• Commitment to high standards of service and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and ensure accurate inspections.
• Maintain high safety and quality levels in vehicle assessments.
• Collaborate with the service team to diagnose and communicate additional repairs or servicing needs.
• Keep up to date with manufacturer training, especially EV/Hybrid systems.
• Adhere to workshop procedures and safety protocols at all times.
• Support continuous improvement in MOT testing procedures and diagnostics.
